GLP-1 Users Are Walking Less and Exercising Less, Study Finds

FITNESS AND EXERCISENEW RESEARCH

A new study found that people taking GLP-1 weight-loss drugs became less physically active over time — daily steps dropped from about 5,047 to 4,487, and moderate exercise fell from 28 to 22 minutes per day. This is worth paying attention to because exercise is a key part of healthy weight management, and losing muscle mass is already a concern with these drugs. If you’re on a GLP-1, the findings suggest being intentional about staying active.
