Starting July 1, Medicare will cover GLP-1 obesity drugs like Wegovy, opening up access for millions of seniors who previously couldn’t afford them. The change is a major win for older Americans managing obesity and is expected to significantly boost the patient base for drugmakers Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly.
